Hey Art48, whas up? Just wanted to wish you and your family and friends a very happy Labor Day weekend! Enjoy it!

But don't you think $900 million for 81 miles is a lot?

by toadNY  Aug 22, 2010

Just remember where the government gets it $$$. From taxes! From people how work!

The best mileage car I ever owned was a Datsun/Nissan Sentra MPG.

http://jalopnik.com/5078418/look-out-toyota-starlet-the-82-sentra-gets-58-highway-mpg

It was rated at 43 city/ 58 highway; it was honest mileage – my personal best was 62 mpg highway.

It had a six-speed manual and the computer with an O2 sensor in the exhaust constantly tuned the mixture for optimum burn. It also cut off gas to the cylinders when decelerating.

Great car, but the Pa. highway salt killed it, and it had been discontinued when I wanted to buy another one. The new Sentras then got half that mileage.

I had a study partner in college who had a Morris Minor convertible. He could open or close the passenger dood while not moving from the driver's seat. It was the smallest car I had seen in those days.

Stripmining in the mountains breaks my heart. Going into a stripmine is like entering a war zone where everything is dead and barren and toxic where there was once beautiful, lush and unique vibrant life.
Blankenship has sold his soul for BIG GREED profit, IMHO

Watch for weight limits shortening battery life. However, the "coolness" could improve sales if advertised properly. Hills shorten battery life as well.

by ldheinz  Aug 10, 2010

I have heard of them being used for that. As long as battery life is adequate for the distances involved, I can't see why they wouldn't work, but I'd check costs. Catspaw shares some characteristics with my ex-wife, which is why I find him so irritating. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: your post about POLELANE - it is hard to keep him on topic and even harder to keep him in a dictionary of the English language.

Do you realize the "plume" article is about 3 weeks old and on the GB front page as if it is "news"?
Google it.
That was from back in May.
Oh dear.
